Ashley's and Micah's wedding.

Shot a wedding this afternoon for a friend of his daughter. Ashley and Micah wed and are planning on living in Kansas City. Had a good time as I had total access and the couple couldn't have been nicer.

It was close, but they lost.

The Salvatores lost this game, 16-10. The other team has some real hitters.

Practice

The Salvatores had a short practice last night due to the heat and the fact they had team photo's later in the evening. Coach Miller is trying to keep their energy and enthusiasm levels up because they are playing the #1 team tonight.

Waldo is out getting donuts...l

We sent Waldo out to get some donuts, glazed for Glenn and chocolate long-johns for me whilst we climbed in his cockpit and made airplane noises. Then when it was almost time for him to come back, we straightened up the hangar.

The airplane is almost finished. The prop isn't bolted on, it's just a ....prop. Hehe. Glenn has to finish painting and varnish it and then allow the varnish to dry, which takes up to 5 days.

We'll put fluids in her tomorrow to seat what leaks and what's good. Friday or next Tuesday is looking like first engine start.

Another win for the Salvatores!

The boys won again today, but just barely. They'd almost won the game on the 10-run rule when the heat got to them and they pooped out.

Gone fishin' with Gramps

Gone fishin'

Sky and gramps and I motor out in gramp's boat. I need a cushion.

Ahhh, that's the lifed!

I'm gettin' mad-Sky's catching all the fish.

I caught this little guy. He's too small so I'll throw him back in.

Sky's Catch.
We put these 3 back in also.
We went fishing at Mark Twain Lake with my father in-law Gene Border. We drove 1 1/2 hours up there and stopped at a Bait 'N Tackle shop to make a pit stop and for me to buy my first fishing license-ever! I haven't been fishing since I was about 7, so when Gene asked me to go for a boat ride, I happily accepted the invitation.
We put the boat in the water and motored over to a spot. They'd told us at the tackle shop the only thing biting were the crappie but the lake has those along with bass, bluegill, catfish and killer whales. Okay, not really but my daughter Lindsay thinks so.
We fished for a while and caught nothing. We went boating for a while, the wind blew my hat off. We circled around and got it and kept right on boating. We stopped and fished, moved to another spot (this time in the shade) and it was here that Sky caught his three crappie and I caught a baby bass.
At 5:30 we'd all definitely had enough sun and not enough luck so we put the "Ola Dell" back on her trailer and headed for home.

Sky's Band Concert

Wow-there's a lot of people here.

Concentrate. Just play the notes.

That was pretty good!

We did it.
Skyler had his first Concert Band concert tonight. The 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands all performed, starting with his 6th grade first. They all played 5 songs. His band had only played together twice before but they did an outstanding job with their songs. Sure, there were a few squeaks and squawks, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed the concert.
